The History Program in the School of Humanities at the Universidad del Rosario, in Bogotá, Colombia, invites applications for a full time, tenure-track Profesor Principal de Carrera position, beginning Fall 2015. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in any of the following fields: Latin American Contemporary History; Colonial Latin American History with the disposition to teach Ancient and Medieval History as well; Public History or Digital Humanities; Atlantic History or Transnational History. Teaching duties involve working at undergraduate and graduate level. The candidate will also participate in activities related to the mission of the program, the School of Humanities and the University at large.

Minimum Qualifications:

- PhD in Social Sciences (candidates should hold at least one degree, e.g. BA/MA, in History) from an accredited university. Candidates who have defended their PhD thesis but have not graduated at the time of this application can also apply, provided they certify that their thesis has been approved.

- Evidence of effective teaching (TA or AI might apply) in a college or university setting.
